Cancer Support and Caregiver Counseling
Whether you have received a diagnosis or are supporting someone you love through cancer, you do not have to carry this alone.

A cancer diagnosis can change everything in an instant.
Whether you have recently received a diagnosis yourself, are undergoing treatment, are living with uncertainty after treatment, or are supporting someone you love through cancer - you may find yourself carrying emotions that feel overwhelming, isolating, and difficult to put into words.
Fear. Grief. Anger. Hope. Exhaustion. Uncertainty.
All of these experiences are welcome here.
My connection to this work is both professional and deeply personal.
My mother is a bladder cancer survivor, and I also had the privilege of walking alongside one of my closest friends during her cancer journey. Supporting her and her family through treatment, caregiving, and end of life decisions gave me a profound appreciation for the emotional complexity that cancer brings to individuals and families.
Through these experiences, I learned that cancer impacts far more than the body. It can affect relationships, identity, work, spirituality, future plans, and a person's sense of safety in the world.
In our work together, I offer a compassionate space where you can..
• Process the emotional impact of a cancer diagnosis
• Explore fears about treatment, recurrence, or the future
• Navigate caregiver stress, burnout, and anticipatory grief
• Make sense of difficult medical information and treatment decisions
• Develop tools to manage anxiety, overwhelm, and uncertainty
• Honor the many emotions that arise throughout the cancer journey
• Receive support as you advocate for yourself or a loved one within a complex healthcare system
My approach is grounded in mindfulness, self compassion, nervous system regulation, and trauma informed care. Together, we create space for whatever is present, without judgment or pressure to "stay positive."
You do not have to carry this alone. Whether you are newly diagnosed, in active treatment, adjusting to survivorship, caring for a loved one, or grieving a loss, therapy can provide a place to pause, breathe, and find support during one of life's most challenging seasons.

Cannabis and Cancer
As a therapist with extensive experience in harm reduction and cannabis education, I can also provide a supportive space to discuss questions about medical cannabis and how it may fit into your overall wellness plan. While I do not prescribe or provide medical advice, I can help you explore your experiences, concerns, and goals in a thoughtful and informed way.
Check out my podcast episode, Can Cannabis Help with Cancer? Benefits, Risks, and What Patients Should Know for a look into this topic with me.
And, check out my co-host Abir Amirdash’s website! She founded Pakaloha Care Clinic to fill a gap she saw firsthand: patients deserve real guidance on medical marijuana, rooted in current research and evidence-based care, not just a certification.
Oncology Nursing Society
I am a member of the Oncology Nursing Society, a community of nurses dedicated to transforming cancer care through practice, education, research, and leadership. This community allows me access to important resources and the ability to learn, engage, advocate, and contribute to the transformation of cancer care through my practice.
